Taking advantage of the gut-brain axis, our bacterial biosensor is deployed orally, where it eventually attaches it self in specific regions in the gut that allow for detection of biomarkers. In this video, we are presenting the prototype version, engineered to detect Amyloid-β levels in the gut. It produces an amplified proportional signal, allowing for detection in a stool sample. Follow our journey as we develop the Synwave sensor to screen for Alzheimer's as early as possible.
