        <description>Title: Water heavy metal ion "harvester" based on intelligent sensing and self-floating technology Description: With the acceleration of industrialization, heavy metal pollution (such as lead, cadmium, and mercury) in water bodies has become a persistent threat to human health and ecological security. While current bioremediation technologies can effectively adsorb heavy metals, they are limited by the difficulty of recovering them from large bodies of water, often facing the dilemma of treating the symptoms but not the root cause, and secondary pollution. This project designs a synthetic biology approach of adsorption followed by recovery: First, constitutively expressed transport and chelating proteins are used to achieve intracellular enrichment of heavy metals; then, a heavy metal-sensing promoter is used to precisely regulate the synergistic expression of gas vesicle gene clusters (GVP) and self-aggregating protein (Ag43) after adsorption saturation. This allows bacteria to rapidly aggregate from a monomeric state into macroscopically visible biorafts and automatically float to the surface, achieving low-cost treatment of heavy metal pollutants.
