<description>Title: CycloGlass: Engineering and Measuring Transparent Supramolecular Films Description: BUCT-China presents CycloGlass, a Measurement-track project investigating transparent supramolecular films made from native β-cyclodextrin with either L-phenylalanine or L-tryptophan, motivated by the potential of starch-rich food residues as molecular resources. This presentation follows our Design–Build–Test–Learn journey: a host-modification route, systematic guest screening, optical measurements, and structural characterisation. Alongside material development, we compare CGTase candidates for biological host production, distinguishing demonstrated results from the future goal of an integrated waste-to-film process. Human Practices shapes our questions about collection, purification, accessibility, practical applications, and environmental assessment. We document unsuccessful experiments and unresolved questions alongside our findings, treating transparency as both a material property and a commitment to evidence.
