Title: Vivora - Treating Recurrent Bacterial Vaginosis Description: Bacterial Vaginosis (BV) affects one in four women globally and is characterised by an overgrowth of harmful bacteria in the vaginal microbiome. While current treatments are effective in the short term, BV recurs in over 50% of affected women within 12 months. Vivora aims to provide a long-term treatment based on a two-part detection system and the synthesis of antimicrobial peptides (AMPs). To achieve this, the vaginal commensal bacterium Lactobacillus jensenii is modified, ensuring targeted treatment delivery. This limits the development of resistant strains and promotes reestablishment of a healthy vaginal microbiome. Wiki | Official Page
