        <description>Title: The Great Wall Description: Aquaculture feeds billions globally, but diseases cost the industry over $50 billion a year. Vaccinating juvenile fish has long been stuck between impractical injection and ineffective immersion, with the dense mucosal barrier as the unbreakable "last micron". This video introduces ECUST iGEM 2026 project :The Great Wall. Building on the barrier-breaking spirit of our Wukong project, we engineered light-programmable living microrobots. By coupling optogenetic domains with bacterial flagellar motors, we use light to control motion: pulsed light for scanning mucosal pores, sustained light for burrowing through the barrier to deliver antigens precisely. We engineered the CheZ master switch at the molecular level. Paired with a smart immersion device, our system boosts antigen delivery by 42.7% in 5 minutes, reaches 95% vaccine utilization, and achieves 82.3% relative survival in challenge trials, bringing immersion vaccines close to injection-level protection. Driven by real needs from hatcheries, we follow the philosophy of penetrate to protect, building a living immune wall with engineered bacteria to guard the blue seed industry and offer a Chinese solution for global sustainable aquaculture.
