How PPK2 keeps a cell-free reaction running after its original fuel is spent. A 31 second animation in four steps. A PURE reaction carries a fixed pool of creatine phosphate, spends it partway through the run, and stalls. PPK2 supplies a second donor, inorganic polyphosphate, and transfers phosphate from it onto ADP and GDP to rebuild ATP and GTP, so synthesis continues past the point where the original pool runs out. https://2026.igem.wiki/calpolyslo/index.html
