Limited early exposure to STEM and persistent stereotypes about technical careers can create barriers for women entering engineering fields. To encourage greater visibility and participation of women in science, Team XJTLU-China developed the Girls Science Talk Series as an extension of our Language Exchange activity. Through interviews with women from different countries and cultural backgrounds, we explored three themes: Encounter with Science, Experiences as a Woman, and Cross-cultural Perspectives. Participants shared how they first became interested in science, their learning experiences and challenges growing up, and how cultural backgrounds shaped their views on scientific careers. While Language Exchange focused on group discussions of scientific and ethical issues, Girls Science Talk highlighted individual stories and personal experiences. https://2026.igem.wiki/xjtlu-china
