Confocal time-lapse of yeast (Saccharomyces cerevisiae) expressing the calcium reporter GCaMP6f, colony 1, after addition of 5 mM cadmium chloride. Brightfield and green fluorescence (488 nm excitation) are overlaid. Three regions from two fields are shown side by side; five minutes of recording play at about 28x real time. Individual cells become fluorescent during cadmium exposure. The cell on the right brightens until it loses its outline, which is more consistent with a dying cell than a sensor response. No narration. Credits: iGEM Saarland 2026 (team OWLET). Imaging on a Nikon Ti2 / AX confocal. Team wiki: https://2026.igem.wiki/saarland/results
