<description>Title: RiboLogic: Programmable mRNA Therapeutics Description: RiboLogic is an RNA-based therapeutic platform that utilizes microRNAs (miRNAs) as biomarkers for targeted treatment. A central challenge in modern therapeutics is delivering medicine exclusively where needed to increase efficacy and decrease side effects. Because miRNA expression patterns reflect specific cellular states, they serve as excellent biomarkers and combinatorial inputs for highly specific theranostics. RiboLogic puts this into practice by coupling therapeutic mRNA with an upstream logic domain. Under normal conditions, this RNA structure folds up and blocks translation. However, once the specific combination of target miRNAs is present, the RNA structure unfolds and allows the cell's machinery to translate the protein. Both the logic section and the output protein sequence are fully modular, making it easy to redesign the system for different miRNA targets, logic operations, or therapeutic proteins.
