Title: MagNav: Engineered AMB-1 for targeted therapeutic localization and expression Description: Ovarian cancer and endometriosis are very difficult to treat without invasive standards of care. Harnessing the pathological characteristics of these diseases that elude traditional methods of treatment, our project engineers a non-pathogenic bacteria into a novel, specific, and non-invasive treatment option. AMB-1, a species of bacteria responsive to magnetic fields and hypoxic microenvironments, is combined with fine-tuned RNA thermometers to deliver a therapeutic payload customizable for ovarian cancer and endometriosis. Our project aims to provide an accessible solution to sufficient life-saving and life-changing therapies. Wiki | Official Page
