<description>Title: BITE — Take a Bite Before Every Bite Description: BITE is an amplification-free, colorimetric detection system developed by the 2026 NYCU-Taiwan iGEM team for preliminary foodborne pathogen screening. By integrating magnetic bead-based DNA capture, CRISPR-Cas12a-mediated target recognition, and G4-hemin colorimetric signaling, BITE enables the detection of Salmonella through a measurable color response. This presentation introduces our project from initial concept and experimental validation to computational modeling, hardware development, and human practices, highlighting our efforts to make food safety screening more accessible and practical.
