Title: PREVAIL — The Bacterial Vaccine That Reprograms Your Immune System to Fight Cancer Description: Cancer remains one of the major threats to human health — nearly 9.7 million people died from the disease in 2022 alone. But what if the immune memory your body already has could be redirected to fight it? Meet PREVAIL (Pre-Existing Viral Immunity–Enabled Universal Bacterial Tumor Vaccine), an engineered approach that uses attenuated Salmonella as a delivery vehicle. The bacteria naturally target the tumor microenvironment, invade tumor cells, and release a built-in viral antigen that "labels" hidden cancer cells — so your pre-existing memory T cells can recognize and rapidly kill them. In this video, Team PREVAIL walks through three Design–Build–Test–Learn cycles: characterizing regulatory elements, building an integrated delivery system, and using computational modeling to reveal the narrow window for antigen presentation and the immune threshold that matters. We also explore the human side — public questionnaires, interviews with clinicians and companies, classroom science education, and the path toward commercialization. Team PREVAIL believes progress begins with asking better questions. Wiki | Official Page
