<description>Title: TyroFix: Immobilized Tyrosinase-Driven Mussel Protein Skin Repair Description: Skin injuries often require materials that can both protect damaged tissue and promote healing. Inspired by mussel adhesion, TyroFix harnesses synthetic biology to create multifunctional adhesive proteins with antioxidant and regenerative properties. Using engineered fusion proteins and tyrosinase-mediated DOPA modification, we produce biomimetic mussel proteins capable of enhancing tissue adhesion and supporting skin repair. To improve sustainability and reduce costs, tyrosinase is immobilized on magnetic beads for efficient reuse. TyroFix combines enzyme engineering, biomaterials, and synthetic biology to provide a scalable platform for next-generation wound-care materials and regenerative medicine applications.
