        <description>Title: Dual EcN Probiotic Synergistic Therapy for the Rare Disease Hyperlysinemia Description: Hyperlysinemia is a rare amino acid metabolic disorder. Because patients are unable to metabolize lysine, they must follow a low-protein diet for life. We aim to use synthetic biology to address life-threatening conditions faced by patients with hyperlysinemia, such as delayed brain development and epilepsy, and to break them free from the “dietary prison” of having to rely on an extremely low-protein diet for life. Therefore, we will develop “smart synergistic probiotics” by constructing lysine metabolic pathways in engineered bacteria to achieve efficient lysine degradation. Furthermore, we will utilize the SpyTag/SpyCatcher system to establish physical couplings between bacteria, creating “metabolic tunnels” to resolve issues of low efficiency and secondary toxicity caused by product diffusion in cascade reactions. At the same time, we will incorporate a kill-switch to prevent biosafety risks associated with the release of engineered bacteria. Wiki | Official Page</description>
