Title: Sentinel-Loop:A Self-Verifying Dual Metal Sensing System Description: Our project is named "Sentinel Loop". In this video we talked about an ogre "Sherk" and its story to find a way to cleanse water for his baby to drink. Through this story we revealed our project's idea of developing a double-metal (Cadmium and Lead) sensing and remediation system in a device that can self-verify its job, which is where the "loop" comes from, and the novelty point sits in this "loop" (no previous team had get all 3 parts: detection, remediation, and verification into one loop). We use E. coli cells to sense and remove these toxic metal ions out from the water sample, and we strip those ions off the E. coli using acid elution and electrowinning to dispose them and to enable reusability of our E. coli cells. Throughout this entire process, SWASV (square wave anodic stripping voltammetry) is used to ensure that we did each step right-what we call as a self-verifying loop. Official Page
