Title: ARMOR | Autoimmune Responsive Molecular Origami Refuge | KFUPM – Saudi Arabia Description: What if we could protect healthy cells without shutting down the immune system? Meet ARMOR; Autoimmune Responsive Molecular Origami Refuge, a project developed by the KFUPM iGEM 2026 team. ARMOR explores a new approach to autoimmune protection using DNA origami. Our proposed molecular system is designed to respond to perforin, a protein released by cytotoxic T cells, and expose PD-L1 to engage the PD-1 inhibitory pathway, potentially reducing harmful immune activity locally. Through computational modeling, interdisciplinary collaboration, expert consultations, and community engagement, we explore how synthetic biology could contribute to more targeted approaches to immune regulation. In this presentation, discover the science behind ARMOR, our engineering journey, the challenges we faced, and how we worked to bring synthetic biology closer to our community. Engineered with purpose. Inspired by possibility. KFUPM iGEM 2026 | Saudi Arabia 🇸🇦 #iGEM2026 #KFUPM #ARMOR #SyntheticBiology #DNAOrigami #AutoimmuneDiseases Wiki | Official Page
