Title: GALATEA Description: GALATEA explores how synthetic biology can turn nature-inspired beauty into more sustainable production. In this video, Tsinghua-T presents an engineered yeast system that uses liquid–liquid phase separation to organize enzymes and guide reactions in the right order. By addressing a key bottleneck in glabridin biosynthesis, our system increased glabridin production over sixfold while reducing a major byproduct by approximately 90%. Follow our journey through experimental validation, computational modeling, an adaptive AI-assisted design platform, and engagement with communities and industry. Together, these efforts establish a transferable strategy for enzyme organization and explore its potential for responsible, sustainable biosynthesis. Wiki | Official Page
